Hi, I'm Brin. I've always been captivated by the allure of van life and the freedom it promises. I celebrated a tenure milestone at work with a month-long sabbatical and planned an epic road trip from Austin, Texas to Los Angeles, California and back again from Thanksgiving to New Year’s.

As I researched options for campers for this road trip, I looked into pop-up campers, van conversions, truck campers, teardrop trailers, vintage Airstreams, and more. Along the way, I discovered a community of people converting simple cargo trailers into comfortable DIY campers, and a light bulb went off. The idea of building my own camper, customized exactly for my needs without paying for unnecessary features, was perfect for me. So I built one!

Creating my cargo trailer camper was a true labor of love. I spent countless hours planning, building, and refining the space until it became a camper that was uniquely mine. Not only did the project stay within my budget, but it also gave me a sense of accomplishment that buying a camper simply couldn't match.

Taking that DIY camper on a month-long road trip across the country was an experience I'll never forget.
